How to remove unwanted folders from Hotmail account?

Hotmail.com is now known as Outlook.com, but the steps to remove default folders are the same. By default, Outlook.com comes with several folders, such as Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts, and Junk Email, which cannot be removed. However, you can hide these folders to keep your inbox clean and organized.

How to delete mail folders from hotmail account? 

Here are the steps to remove default folders in Outlook.com:

Step 1: Log in to your Outlook.com account Go to Outlook.com and enter your email address and password to log in to your account.

Step 2: Go to your folder list Once you are logged in, you will see your inbox. Look for the folder icon on the left-hand side of the screen and click on it. This will open your folder list, where you can see all the folders, including the default ones.

Step 3: Hide default folders To hide a default folder, right-click on it, and select "Hide". The folder will disappear from your folder list, and you won't see it anymore.

Note: You can only hide default folders, not delete them. This is because these folders are required for the proper functioning of your Outlook.com account.

Step 4: Restore hidden folders If you want to restore a hidden folder, click on the gear icon at the top-right corner of the screen, and select "View all Outlook settings". Then, click on "General" and scroll down to the "Folder pane" section. Here, you will see a list of all your hidden folders. To restore a folder, simply click on the "Show" button next to it.
